Whenever I travel, which sure is not as often as I would love it to be, I always have a few priorities. I like to make a list of all the sights I must see, I always try to avoid getting lost (but that's always a fail) + I make an exhaustive list of where I need to eat. More often than not I know that I will only travel someone once, so I want to make sure I get the most out of the adventure.
Some of my favorite takeaways from a trip are food souvenirs! Chocolate from France, tequila from Mexico + walnut fudge from the Cape are a few of my favorites.
Sadly I can't travel to every city on earth, so when a bit of those places can come straight to me, I jump on that opportunity.
NC Made creates just what I have been looking for, a taste of a new city. Nicole Bogas is the founder of this incredible gourmet gift shop that ships great local finds from Durham, NC.
I ordered the Cross Creek box, but she offers up quite a few options that include some of the best handcrafted food from North Carolina. I would have bought up one of each, but I am pretty pleased with my box.
First up is the packaging. Nicole's branding is strong. From her website to the actual order the design aesthetic is on point.
Even though the packaging is to die for, the products themselves are the star. This particular box contains a jar of Copper Pot & Wooden Spoon pickles, blister-fried peanuts from Mount Olive First United Methodist Church + Farmers Daughters pumpkin preserves.
Pretty products, right? I can't get over the amount of dill in that jar of pickles! It's just a quick assortment of what North Carolina has to offer, but I can't wait to open these jars + start using each product in some recipes. Check out NC Made to see what box would be best for you.
